Our Mission

The Dr. Steve Singh Fellowship, part of the UCLA surgical fellowship program, is awarded to select students who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in surgical skills, as well as a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, coupled with strong leadership and teaching abilities. Students exhibiting these qualities will be carefully chosen by AAMS surgeons to fulfill the role of this prestigious surgical education fellowship. Fellows will collaborate directly with AAMS instructors to achieve the goals of the advanced cardiothoracic curriculum. They will be responsible for teaching returning students advanced cardiothoracic procedures and delivering clinical lectures on a variety of topics, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical practice. Additionally, fellows will take on the role of Residential Advisors (RAs), ensuring student safety and the smooth operation of the program.
